vaccinate new york
So,
on this glum, grey day I did one of the sunniest things available to me.
Initially when people told me that they cried after getting vaccinated it seemed like a weird response to a jab but, there is a profound sense of relief, joy, and above all celebration to this process. A celebration of human ingenuity, survival and solidarity.
The longest part of the process was the 15 minutes sitting after the jab but really, I found myself in no hurry to leave. And, while we were all masked up, I felt certain that every single person, from the guys standing in the rain to guide me to my parking lot, to the jolly ladies who shot me up, every single person at the New York National Guard Armory was smiling.
It’s a whole new world.
